Fashion Forward.... From Me to You

As a New Yorker, its easy to see what's the latest fashion. By looking through magazines, riding the train, shopping through the town, even seeing your favorite celebrity rock it gives you a sense of what's new and now. Searching for what fits and looks good on you best can be stressful yet therapeutic, finding your style and identity is what matters most.  Who are you when you wear those favorite jeans, or that hot sweater, or those crazy boots? Feeling comfort in what you wear is important. How comfortable are you in those heals, or those boots you worried and hassled to buy? Wearing what's in and hot most of the time gives you confidence. But we sometimes want to impress others for attention and it can go too far. Sometimes it hurts to look good, maybe our feet, or our wallets. Is beauty really painful? It can be what you make of it. It took me some time to figure out what type of style i have, if its casual, sporty, urban, business, or what. I felt as if i had to choose one. It inspired me to find who i am in what i wear. Do the clothes make the man or does the man make the cloths? Im sure they both go hand in hand. But getting dressed for the world or myself took some effort and evaluation. So i came up with my own fashion forward. Being whoever i want to be when getting dressed. Of course special occasions do not count. Going out and enjoying life , wearing what inspires your confidence, a sweet escape from who you thought you were before putting on that new fabric. What makes you fashion forward.
